Teacher Twitter Tips – Spotlight: Tweeps Worth Following

In our last post on Twitter Hashtags, we introduced a few top hashtags that teachers and educators can use on Twitter to stay informed and grow their social network.

This week we’re introducing you to a few Twitter peeps (Tweeps for short) who each use Twitter differently.  Each one has their own angle, but all of them are great at what they do.

Tweeps Worth Following…

@drmmtatom and @tjhouston are great at engaging in conversations with followers.  By asking questions and responding to follower queries, they show their passion for education, stay involved online, and establish an enjoyable dialogue with the education community.

@brownsugartweet puts together a daily paper.li post that covers recent topics in the twitterverse.  In essence, she publishes a niche online newspaper that’s a great way to stay informed if you don’t have time to frequent the trade papers.

@johnfaig is a class act, so to speak.  He’s a consistent user who covers a broad range of topics.  From #edtech posts to retweeting unique perspectives, he’s fully engaged in Twitter and clearly understands how to use the tool to its fullest potential.

If you have suggestions for other tweeps to follow comment below and let others know!
